If you’re in a position where you have people working with you, Congratulations. We’re sure you’re a great boss! Of course, having employees is a great responsibility as well. We’ve all had a lousy boss, and that alone can make work not all that fun.
If you’re a fair boss who cares and listens to your employees, we’re sure you’re doing all right, but you can always do a little more, and that’s where bringing the team together for a little fun comes in. Surprising your employee's achievements with a Chicago Hands-on Cooking Class or Cocktail Experience is a great way to show you care. Here’s what you need to know!
Choosing The Right Food for Your Employees
Choosing food or drinks for someone is not easy — if it’s for a close family member or a friend, you might have an idea about what they like and what they don’t. With employees, that’s another story.
With this in mind, try to keep the Menu or Culinary Experience selection as general as possible. Your best bet? Putting together a custom charcuterie board. Each participant has the opportunity to select the food they enjoy for their personal board to take home.
The Big Dos and Dont's
1. Don’t reward one employee and ignore other employee’s achievements. Make this Experience about the Team. You want them all to win, right?
2. Don’t be cheap, but don’t splurge either. Set the standard of how you want to move forward. Splurging is great but can you keep that same momentum year after year?
3. Do encourage new skills and hobbies. Make sure everyone is involved regardless of their skill level. You'd be surprised at the skills developed in just one Experience!
4. This is for you too! Great employees come from great Managers and Leaders. You might be the boss, but you also deserve to be recognized for your achievements. Make sure you are involved in this Experience and engage with the Team.
